The Gunfighter Carbine Training Phase 2 course will build on the prior skillsets of the Gunfighter Carbine Phase 1 class. In addition, the class will focus on recoil management, trigger skills, visual skills, tactical/speed reloads, malfunctions, and positional shooting. The training will include live-fire range drills.

(Successful completion of Gunfighter Carbine Phase 1 is required)

Description

The Gunfighter Carbine Training Phase 2 class duration will be 8 hours 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

All courses are delivered at GTI’s Joint Operations Center 1321 Technology Drive, Barnwell, SC 29812.

All students will be required to provide the following equipment at the time of the class:

  • Eye Protection
  • Ear Protection – Ear muffs or ear plugs. It is highly recommended to use both!
  • M4 Style Rifle w/ Sling
  • 2 Magazines
  • 250 Rounds of quality ammunition that is appropriate for your firearm.
  • All students must have proper footwear (I.E. tennis shoes, boots).
    • Open toed footwear is not allowed for safety reasons.
  • Comfortable pants or shorts may be worn.
    • Skirts or dresses are not allowed.
  • Appropriate weather protection (I.E. hat, sunscreen, jacket)

    Another great course by the guys at GTI! Enjoyed every minute of it despite the heat and amount of ammo we shot – but well worth it in the end. Fundamentals were reviewed (they were the main part of Phase One), and new positions demonstrated which showed me a lot more training is needed on my part. Would take again, and will pass on things I learned to others.

Lodging Cancellation within 24 hours of scheduled arrival will result in a full nights charge and refund of the remaining. Lodging Cancellation prior to 24 hours of scheduled arrival will result in a fee not to exceed 10%. If the decision to cancel is made by GTI a full refund will be given.

The class discusses some of the unique concerns such as shooting from a restricted space and shooting through glass. Also covered are tactics to maximize one's safety if involved in a life or death confrontation by using a vehicle for protection. This will cover shooting techniques over, under, and around vehicles.
